Planning and Organizing an Event in a Natural Setting - The Basics
Planning and Organizing an Event in a Natural Setting
Organizing an event or gathering in a natural setting requires planning for several key factors to ensure that the site and regulations are respected.
1. Define the event’s boundaries
Start by mapping out the layout and precisely locating your event area.
2. Determine land ownership
Find out whether the areas in question are public or private.
This will allow you to obtain the necessary permits and, if applicable, understand the environmental regulations that must be followed.
3. Check the applicable regulations
Depending on the areas you’ll be passing through, different regulations may apply: nature reserves, Natura 2000 sites, designated or listed sites, etc.
Specific procedures may be required depending on the areas in question. These procedures must be carried out with the relevant managers and/or owners.
