Welcome to the section for teachers
Here you will find all the information you need to organize a site visit, a nature activity, or support for outdoor education, or to learn how to participate in a specific program.
A nature education program open to everyone
The Natural Areas, Agropastoralism, and Forests Department of the Chamonix-Mont-Blanc Valley Community of Communes (CCVCMB) offers year-round educational activities related to nature and the environment for schoolchildren.
These activities are free for preschool and elementary schools within the CCVCMB’s territory.
For middle schools, high schools, and schools outside the region, a fee of €120 per half-day and €220 per full day is charged for a group of approximately 25 students.
Activities Designed Together
Each project is designed in collaboration with the teacher to align with the students’ interests, their academic level, and educational objectives.
For any inquiries, our nature educators are here to help. Feel free to contact them to collaborate on planning a field trip, site visit, or educational project—from the initial idea through to implementation.
In addition to this philosophy, which aims to meet the needs of teachers as closely as possible, three specific programs are also offered in partnership with other regions or organizations:“ ” “Un Berger dans mon Ecole,” “J’aime ma Forêt,” and “Môm’en Nature.”
For more information, please feel free to contact the nature program coordinators.
Other CCVCMB departments also offer activities for schoolchildren.

And many more projects for us to build together!
Activities can take place anywhere within the Chamonix-Mont-Blanc Valley Community of Communes, as well as at our two interpretive centers, which serve as valuable educational resources that complement field experiences.
Two interpretive centers to enrich the experience
Maison du Lieutenant
A site focused on mountain agriculture, agro-pastoralism, local expertise, and regional products.
This site helps visitors understand the connection between human activities, landscapes, and rural heritage.
Chalet du Col des Montets
Located in the heart of a protected natural area, this site explores mountain biodiversity, how ecosystems function, glaciers, and the impacts of climate change.
It offers a unique setting for observing and understanding natural Alpine environments.
