Pôle Montagne Risk

in Chamonix-Mont-Blanc
Presentation

The Pôle Montagne Risk is free to visit and serves as an information hub on mountain risks, with explanatory panels and safety videos.

At the Pôle Montagne Risk, you can deepen your knowledge of mountain hazards through diagrams, explanatory panels, and videos.

Free activities are offered for younger audiences on various topics such as high-mountain risks, the mountain environment, mountain alert and rescue systems, weather, climate change, and the difference between on-piste and off-piste areas.

You will also find an interactive glacier model, designed to help you understand how a glacier works, including its formation and evolution.

An immersive virtual reality rescue experience is also available (by reservation), where you will alternately take on the roles of witness, victim, and rescuer.

These tools help bring concepts to life, making it easier to understand the processes at work in the mountains and making them accessible to all audiences.
