How about talking about science over a drink?
The idea here is simple: a bar, a theme, researchers… and an open discussion over a drink, to talk about serious topics… without taking ourselves too seriously.
Once a month from October through December, the Chamonix Science Bars host evenings where researchers, experts, and the general public come together to discuss, debate, and above all… ask questions.
Over the course of an evening, several speakers from different disciplines share their perspectives on a single topic—all in a friendly atmosphere.
Here, you come with your curiosity, your questions, and your preconceptions. You don’t have to be a scientist to have something to say. A good question can be just as interesting as a good answer.
Science Bars are evenings designed to help you discover science in a different way. We listen, we ask questions, we debate, we laugh sometimes… and above all, we think together.
Because science isn’t created solely in laboratories—it thrives on dialogue with society. And because understanding the world is the first step toward discussing it.
