The Essence of the Science Bars

Once a month from October through December, the Chamonix Science Bars host evening events where researchers, experts, and the general public come together to discuss, debate, and above all… ask questions.

Over the course of an evening, several speakers from different disciplines share their perspectives on a single topic—all in a friendly atmosphere.

Here, people come with their curiosity, their questions, and their preconceived notions. You don’t have to be a scientist to have something to say. A good question can be just as interesting as a good answer.

Science Bars are evenings designed to help you discover science in a new way. We listen, we ask questions, we debate, we laugh sometimes… and above all, we think together.

Because science isn’t created solely in laboratories—it thrives on dialogue with society. And because understanding the world is already the first step toward discussing it.
